Privacy policy

• Enquiries, quotes and orders. Your name, company, email, phone number, delivery address and what you asked about. We use this to answer you, prepare a quote, confirm and deliver an order, invoice you and provide warranty support. Legal basis: performing a contract with you, or taking steps you have asked for before one.
• Phone calls. We keep a record that a call happened, the number and time. Calls are not recorded automatically. If we want to record a call, for example to capture an order, the person you are speaking to will ask you first and the recording only starts if you agree.
• Follow-up emails. If you ask for a quote or leave an enquiry we may send you a small number of follow-up emails about that quote. You can stop these with the link in any email or by replying.
• Warranty claims. Your contact details, machine serial number, hours, a description of the fault and any photos you upload, used to assess and resolve the claim.
• Site analytics. We use PostHog to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, buttons clicked, the device and rough location derived from your IP address. This helps us fix what is confusing and see which pages work. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a useful website.
• Where you came from. When you arrive from an advert or a link we store a small first-party cookie noting the source, so that if you later enquire we know which advertising brought you to us. It does not identify you and is not shared with advertisers as personal data.

The site uses a cookie to remember your cart, a cookie for the visit source described above, and analytics cookies from PostHog. We do not run third-party advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; the cart and analytics will stop working if you do.

We use trusted suppliers to run the business and they only process your data on our instructions: hosting and databases, email delivery, telephony, analytics, and hauliers who need your name, address and phone number to deliver a machine. We do not sell your details. Some suppliers store data outside the UK, in which case we rely on the UK's adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

• Orders, invoices and warranty records: seven years, as required for tax and to support the machine through its life.
• Enquiries that do not become orders: up to two years, then deleted.
• Call recordings made with your consent: twelve months.
• Analytics data: twelve months, then aggregated.

You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. Email sales@korvex-machinery.comand we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
